In 1999 a small group of Christians had a call from God to start up a new church in the Fylde Coast area. They started meeting together in one of their houses, moving into a rented building soon after as people joined with them.
 
Several years later, and after a move from St. Annes to Bispham, Fylde Coast Church Alive – now with about 40 members – put in an offer for Raikes Parade Methodist church which had closed down a few months earlier and was for sale. The offer was accepted and they moved in November 2003.  Much hard work was to follow, with complete renovations of the Sanctuary and the community building, now called the “Life Centre”.  The church brings together the old and new – with a building dating back to 1909 fitted with state of the art equipment and technology, and a modern feel.
 
The 650-seater sanctuary is one of the largest churches in Blackpool and is often used for bringing local churches together for events, prayer concerts and youth meeting. “Youth United” is a regular youth event held in the church where many young people gather together to praise God and hear His Word in a vibrant, modern way. It is part of the vision of Fylde Coast Church Alive to work together with local churches across the Fylde. 

In 2009 FCCA celebrate the Centenary anniversary of the church. A celebration weekend on 6th and 7th June included an Open Day showing the history of the church alongside present events and future plans, and a celebration service with Rev. Dr. Bill Davies.

2009 - a new 6pm evening service began and the baptism pool was completed. The first baptism were in April 2009 with monthly baptisms continuing.
